I would like to prevent anyone to rent a car in Tenerife via Avis Budget Group.

I booked a vehicle on 20 February 2018 for three weeks. I returned the car with full tank as stipulated.

The Budget inspection showed that there was no damage or any other issues.

Two months later on 24 April 2018 the company issued an invoice where they charged me a fee of £833.79 for refuelling service. My credit card was charged £815.04 on 20 April 2018. I phoned the company and they promised that they will investigate this matter in 10 days but anyway to pay the money back. I did not receive any reponse and I phoned them myself.

Their operator said that their counterpart in Tenerife claims that there was damage made to the car, broken clutch. I am a lorry driver and I do not damage clutches. The matter is now passed to authorities, later it will be forwarded to the court if it is not resolved.

According to other people my case is not isolated. Be beware!!!
